What is spyware?

Characteristics of a spyware:

  • It plagues the user of the infected machine with unwanted advertising.
  • It watches everything user does online and sends that information back to the marketing company that create the spyware.
  • Setting infected system´s browser home page and search settings to point to the spyware owner´s websites.
  • Leave security holes in an infected system allowing the markets of the spyware.
  • Spyware severely degrades system performance.

Computer Crime

Computer crime is caused by the criminal or irresponsible actions of individuals who are taking advantage of the widespread use and vulnerability of computers and the Internet and other networks. Computer crime poses serious threats to the:

  • Integrity
  • Safety
  • Survival of most business systems
  • makes the development of effective security methods a top priority

Supply Chain

A Supply Chain is a set of relationships among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers that facilitate the transformation of raw materials into final products. Supply chains involve the flow of materials, information, money, and services from raw materials suppliers, through factories and warehouses to the end-consumers.

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is the efficient management of the end-to end processes that start with the design of the product or service and end when it is sold, consumed, or used by the end-consumer. SCM involves vendors, financial accounting transfers, warehousing and inventory levels, order fulfilment, distributors, and the information needed to manage it.

As the Internet has evolved, we have seen a distinct change in the general perception of what the web means to its users. It has become the undisputed home of freedom of expression. In another words, the Internet is viewed less as a global opportunity, but more as a virtual representation of your day-to-day.

We are in the middle of the greatest increase in expensive capability in human history: more people can communicate more things to more people than at any time.

Skills and competencies in this course


University is one of the most importance sites in the formation of a person, social and emotional education. This gives us the first tools that we need to create our personal opinions and points of view. I chose the career that was one of the best ways that UTP could offer me. Especially, in a world filled of people with different talents and abilities who competed for a good job opportunity.

In this semester the course of “Information Technology III” provide some competencies and skills important in my professional formation. I learned and developed the followings:
